Crafting in the Wild

Nature play isn’t just for kids, grown-up’s need time and connection in nature with their peers too! After observing caregivers at our Together in the Park classes consistently immerse themselves in the more creative activities, we knew this was a needed outlet for many adults.

I am happy to announce our pilot gathering of Crafting in the Wild: Naturing Together for Grown-ups! Due to the weather, we have rescheduled to Sunday, Maye 5th, 4-7pm, at Hoyt Park, Roys (lower) Shelter to craft and chat together around a fire (weather permitting). Registration required, limited spots.

Each gathering will highlight a different nature-inspired craft. First up: nature journaling with wool.

Have you ever used wool as a medium to nature journal? To start we will take a little time to explore or sit in the park to observe, listen and let nature spark our creativity. We will then come together around a fire to enjoy each other’s company in nature and craft together. Registration includes all materials for needle felting a nature design with wool roving onto felt sheets. You do not need any previous experience with needle felting to participate. We will demonstrate how to needle felt for anyone new to the craft. Some snacks and warm tea provided. Crafters are encouraged to bring a snack or dish to share too.
