Naturing in the Woods: Camps

Naturing in the Woods are camps are for children 4 - 10 years old, to independently explore outside with our leaders. Each camp runs Monday - Friday with a variety of activities centered on the week’s theme. Camps are designed to inspire imaginations and spark outdoor play - campers are always encouraged to follow their interests and what the parks present to us!

Each Naturing in the Woods camp runs Monday - Friday. Drop off is between 8:30AM - 8:45AM; pick-up is 11:45AM - 12:00PM. Simple, low allergen snacks and drinking water are always available to campers.

Summer Camp 2024 Schedule

Nature Quest: Imagine we have arrived at an unfamiliar world. What should we do first? What will we discover and learn from the land? Who will we meet? Activities could include: map making, plant identification, observing animal friends, discovering fantastical new creatures, storytelling, building and cooking over a fire.

(NEW) Enchanted Forest: Immerse your child in a whimsical world where magical creatures come to life through a blend of imaginative play and nature exploration. From crafting fairy houses to engaging in potion play, every day promises enchanting adventures that spark creativity and ignite the spirit of wonder.

Wild Art: Creative and messy fun while making art inspired by nature and the land. There are endless possibilities to create with mud, clay, sticks, rocks, flowers and plants. Let’s get wild with art!

Around the Campfire: This week is all about exploring camping and community “around the campfire”!  We will play games, tell stories, set up shelters, learn about preparing, starting, using and extinguishing fire at the many fireplaces around the Park, and even help prepare cooking over the campfire.

(NEW) Tales from the Trail: A nature-themed theater camp! A unique blend of nature exploration and theatrical expression, promising a week filled with creativity, camaraderie, and the magic of storytelling. Throughout the week, budding actors will collaborate to craft an original mini play inspired by nature. Let your child's imagination blossom amidst the rustling leaves and singing birds, as they bring tales from the trails to life on an outdoor stage.
